A musical play by Dick Erickson
Synopsis:
(If you prefer to read the entire Act 1 script,

ion here.)

Jim is engaged to Emily and the wedding day is quickly approaching.  Qualms and fears are taking a toll on his nervous system.  Emily is a wonderful girl, but…is she the one?

Jim’s best friend, Mark, who works at an advertising agency, invites Jim to a cocktail party at the boss’s home.  There Jim runs into an older woman (if you consider early 40’s older) who is charming, vivacious, and with an outlook on life that dazzles Jim.  By the end of the evening he is totally questioning his marriage plans.

The opening of Act 2 is Jim arriving home from the party and his answering machine is full of messages…all from Emily wondering where he was.  She asked him to call.  Why didn’t he call?
